Hi mate,
Ref the turbo, yes replaced the hoses for silicone and used the mikilor clamps I bought ages ago off your guide I also checked and lubricated the actuator arm, being a my07 mine does the actuator exercise procedure on shut down also. I’m debating yanking the turbo when I retake the body off... long story short brother in law has a new trafic van, turbo went, mate of his does turbo rebuilds so I may have it reconned anyway just to be sure.
Ref the battery drain... way out of my league that one. I’ll follow your thread with interest as mine does drain the battery over time also.
Gutted you’ve not been well. Have you replied to last email as I’ve not been on my emails for weeks ! I need to go through them.
Ref work: was taking to a friend who runs a gas training school. He thinks I should get into teaching and get off the tools. I’m very tempted. I’ve had enough of the building site bs. Wrong drawings, deliveries wrong, blah blah blah. Lol
Hi buddy
Many thks and indeed replied to ur last email
Ref ur turbo know u can get the cartridges for them but if u know someone that is a specialist thats ideal know it’s a pain , it at least if u get it recon when the body off u won’t have to worry about it going into limp mode on the motorway or the most importunate time
I got to that stage ref being on the tools and was looking into teaching at the gas safe centres or university , but alas had my accident with my back so that out a finish to that , would have really liked to have done that , not dealing with stroppy customers or lugging an old Vulcan boiler when u think there stuck to the floor and end up putting bicycle clips on
Will indeed keep my battery drain thread updated, so at least then can help others
Ref ur fan fault code , plse don’t kick me, did u plug it back in after doing the condensor , u just fitted the fan blades as well didn’t u and not the complete fan
Ref the engine unbalance could it be because of the injector leak that’s causing the issue with the other one ???
Hiya budd,
Ref; plug for fan - yup definitely plugged in as it’s working. I never recieved the one off eBay. It got “lost in the post” so was refunded. I’ll order a complete one I think.
Ref; injector, I have had injector issues for a while, i’ll Dig my live data pic out but basically injector 1 was way out, mich higher than the others, I replaced it with a new one but nothing changed so I will swap 3 with the one I took out, see if that makes a difference to it.
Ref; photo of fuses, i’ll Get that sent over now mate.

Ah bless you mate. The one I took from position 1 I assume was ok as it made no change putting a new one in, I’ve heard euro 4 injectors are unrepairable, I’ve heard they are repairable so I need to do some digging into it. I fitted a brand new injector into position 1 so have the spare one from there. Injector 3 is the one saying leaking. If I could afford it i’d Just buy another 5 Jarrod

Always a pleasure to help where I can
Came across this regarding the injectors offering a recon service , alas not experienced enough if there any good or a 100% match , as I don’t know if auto/ manual injectors are different ???
See both injectors shown, 1 x is 140 kw , other is 145kw

Hiya mate,
Not much to update. Been so busy last few days. Waiting to hear from disco Mikey ref the gearbox he’s got. I haven’t even looked at lemon. I’m going to get her in the garage probably Monday or Tuesday and start stripping her off again.
I can’t wait.
Lol.
Thankyou for the injector info. I may well pull the 5 unknown ones out and have them tested. Just a thought at this stage.
Think I might try and look for the air leak I’m still seeing on the suspension before I pull the body off again. I also have the rear brakes to change over also.
I think this time I’m going to compile a list to work to rather than bouncing about.
I need to find a how to guide for gearbox removal. Particularly I’m interested in how does the torque converter be attached. What I mean is on a manual the gearbox just comes away and then the clutch stays with the flywheel. I’ve never taken an auto box off before.
Something else I’m scratching the stubble over is a gearbox cooler. Don’t know if anyone bothers swapping from the rad intergrated one ?
Hope your well mate.Jarrod

Hi buddy
Glad it’s been useful info
At least ur be in the dry whilst working on the landy
Ref the air leak, suppose the first place would be to put it into off road height then pull fuse F26 and see which corner drops , measuring ur ur wheel height before and after
If u can’t find anything I ended up separating all the lines , capping them, installing a pressure gauge then putting a few psi and then having an isolating valve on that line and tuning it off, noting the pressure and see if it’s dropped hours later
Apologises can’t remember did u put a new air compressor in urs
I also used a vacuum gauge on the valve blocks after I had rebuilt them, they were letting by so I replaced all 3 x valve blocks / air tank
Indeed see what di dings u have after puling the fuse
Will find the gearbox I do out for u
Please let me know if I’m able to help with anything else but assume I won’t know what u need until u start again
Haven’t heard about that , ref the gearbox cooler
All the best mate

Removing gearbox
Looks like u need a special tool for the torque converter , suppose it’s like a clutch aligning tool

Some notes I’ve seen , ref the grease
With assistance, install the transfer case.
Lubricate input shaft splines with '. Weicon TL7391' grease. Install the 8 bolts.
Using the special tool, tighten the bolts to 45 Nm (33 lb.ft).

They are called
Torque converter seal installer 308-246
Torque converter support handles 307-497 (LRT-44-010)
Maybe some of the more Experianced guys will know if u need them and if so from where

I didn't use any special tools when removing or refitting the torque converter or gearbox.
It's pretty straightforward as far as i can remember.

Hiya mate !
Thankyou for all the info mate ! I really can’t tell you how much I do appreciate it !
I put her back on the ramp today. I’ll be starting the strip out again tomorrow. Mikey has been in touch to say probably next week or so for his end so I’d better get my rear in gear !
I believe there’s a new compressor on mine, i’ll Have a look and take a photo etc.
I can’t seem to open the links you sent ref the gearbox but I think that’s maybe because I’m using my iPhone ?
Hope all is good mate.
