Disco's First Camping Trip - 2006 Base Model Coil Springs

Took the Disco on its first camping trip last weekend. Nothing too arduous; just the British Indoor 4x4 show. Learned that:
The tailgate sits snugly just under the Oztent awning when it's up
I need to get some of those LED interior light upgrades I keep reading about on here
I need to build a storage system (had one on the old Disco, but always want to do at least one trip before figuring out exactly what needs to go where)
The lower tailgate makes a great table / worktop
An Oztent RV4 just goes inside, either diagonally, or down the middle and resting on the centre console between the front seats. (Think I will put it on the roof though).

For me, Land Rovers have always been about the camping and overlanding, rather than the extreme offroading, and I think the Disco 3's going to be just fine for that. Thumbs Up

Coils are next up. Will probably do the same as Gazillio, and go for a 30mm lift. Tell me about the "intercooler map"??

honestly I do not think it is worth spending any dosh on only 30mm lift...

50 mm minimum on progressive coil and you would not believe how much better handling you can achieve at least with kings

IC from Allisport not cheap but gives you top notch permagrin and ease of access after mud session, more power some economy if driven like old lady

remap - talk to Belautoservices Alivetuning or 10forcash (all on this forum and pick one which suits you the best)

Thanks for the info. Have you had a two inch lift done? If so, any negative aspects at all? I would find the extra ground clearance useful, but I enjoy the way the Disco rides on the open road. I note what you say about improved handling though. Do you know a supplier of Kings springs?

Thanks again
