just to add, had the same issue re the srs light, like so many others it was the wiring loom under the drivers seat where the dealers had overhauled the seat base/upright/cover/foam etc the month before....well after 500k+ it was getting a bit saggey
BTW, had the rotary coupling done 2 years ago, LR would not pay up coz it was out of VIN range.

Does anybody have instructions for replacing the clock spring or haw to access the door panel connector. Why is the door panel so difficult to get off?

My Indy said the under seat connector can be loose or dirty and if you access it it should be cleaned with electrical contact cleaner. Very common Airbag light fault especially when the seat is at the extremes of its adjustment. The wire is clipped to the side of the seat which increases the tension. Part if the fix is removing the clips and rerouting the wiring.

Update: Just pulled off the front panel under drivers seat and had a look around. I felt underneath seat for plugs and I think I found 1 or 2 on right side looking from front. They were near the area that the Seat-belt Pre Tension-er wires lead to so I just pushed them in and I felt a bit of movement. I had previously cut the cable ties to loosen the tension on the wiring.
Anyway I turned on the ignition and the airbag light is out so it seems the extra tension caused by the wire clips when seat if fully extended cause the plugs to pull out slightly. Just push em back in but if you can get to them they should be cleaned with electrical contact cleaner especially the orange one.
