Hi, thanks for the response.

So if the upper hub bush separate from the upper control arm? Or does it come with the kit if I buy a complete new arm?

Great efforts.

They may be marmite but I do love your puddle lights. Can I ask how you achieved that?

Thanks very much, I like them.

They were a kit off eBay. The standard cover and bulb are replaced with one unit.
You then simply remove the old unit and put these in place.

Reguarding changing the rear upper control arm. Anything else I should consider?

Yes mate,

you need the bolt kit too, and a reciprocating saw for when you can’t get the top bolt out because it’s seized also (theme here).

Also some way of pressing the hub bushes in and out.

Yes these are the full kits that comes with bolts which I’m assuming cover the hub bushes as well but maybe I’ll call them tomorrow to check.

Going to be ordering a recip saw and a lot of blades to go with it.

Can you also burn/cut the old bushes out?

Extreme 4x4 do a set of braided brake lines that I think I will add to the list as well.

No bushes in the bolt packs mate.

You could burn or cut the old bushes out but you also need to press the new bush in.

I had to smash my bush out with a cold chisel and a lump hammer.

This is what comes in the arm kit so adding the hub bushes I ordered separately I’d be looking at a nut and bolt for each hub bush?

Sorry for all the questions but this is all new for me and wanna make sure I have everything before I take the car to my mates workshop and get started.

I bought a different kit and had to but my own Bolts separate. You will need a camber adjustment bolt, washer and nut also.

Ah ok thanks for clearing up my confusion.
Guessing ten camber bolt is the one that goes in the hub bush.

Pass mate, don’t get no pics?

You will not insert the new bush by hand though, you need a puller.

The washer, nut and bolt in the centre of this photo. LR Direct supply those parts with the arms as a kit.

Then be adding these brake lines as be easier to change them while the arm is off.

Cool thanks for the info reguarding needing a puller for the bush. Will see if I can get a kit off eBay that isn’t too expensive.

That’s the ones mate. The brake lines might cause you further trouble, one of mine undid easy, the other, I cut a slit in its retaining bracket on the arm.

Make sure you jack the hub to 485 mm from the centre of hub to lower centre of the plastic arch prior to ‘torquing’ everything up.

Ordered a arm kit off eBay that comes with the genuine bolts

Yes not expecting the lines to be easy or fun but old ones have to come off anyway.

Thanks for the tip, will remember to do that.

Anyone got any suggestions on a good value hand bush press I can use on the hub with it on the car?
