Discovery 3 tailgate issue

Hi we have a 07 hse when we unlock the car it opens the tailgate! Is there a way of making this not happen?

I suspect that you're inadvertently also pressing the third LR button and opening it yourself.

Either that or the BCU has some gremlins.

Hello Mate,

My 07 was doing something similar for a while. The third button was programmed to open the tailgate, but it wouldn't release it all the way. Occasionally, when I used the second button to open the doors, it would also pop the tail gate, resulting in the horn honking at me when I tried to lock it again, because the tailgate was ajar!

I never used the third button to open the tail gate - If I wanted in it, I was usually in the car anyway, so I reprogrammed the button to turn the headlights on (much more useful!) and it seemed to solve the problem.

Worth a go if your key fob is set up that same as mine was? There is a good guide here if you haven't done it before.
