discovery 4 2015 lights dimming DLR when indicating? |
|
Hi all,
i have a disco 3, facelifted to 2015, i have the 2015 headlights and i havent yet got to dimming the DRL (signature LEDs trip) when indicating. do you all think this is necessary? is this something you have done? or would it be fine to drive without the dimming function?
thanks

Yes, the dimming of a DRL is compulsory when they are within a certain distance of an indicator light ..which they are in the 2015MY lights

I'm sure there was a thread about this and it was found that it couldn't be added to a D3 (dimming DRL that is)

not even using a relay of some sort? im quite sure its not possible to do via CCF but was wondering if theres any other wiring alternatives, i had a go and ended up with the the DRL only dimming when the indicator is flashing, so it went from bright DRL to dim DRL and indicator and then back to bright DRL and keeps doing that, looks a bit odd as i know it should remain dim throughout the time the indicator is on regardless of its pulsing.
