With the official pictures the skirts look very black but I think are lower than the current range, to help with the co-efficient but will that mean it has lost some of its off road prowess and departure angles?

Now that I like, amazing what difference the colour makes, still not sure about the grill though! But then I hated the D3 when it was launched. "The fate of the wounded lies in the hands of the one who applys the first dressing"

I think it looks great - surpassed my expectations in all areas bar one. Fuel efficiency. It's still way off the bar, and in the current climate they really need to be getting those emissions down and MPG up.
Won't stop me buying one mind One of the pics of the new steering wheel seems to show a new paddle on the left-hand side next to the cruise control. Looks to me like the D4 could be getting radar adaptive cruise control?
Have they released MPG figures for it already then?The End

The Discovery for 2010 gets new 3.0-litre diesel engine, as used in the Jaguar XF.
The TDV6, with piezo-injection and twin sequential turbochargers (one small turbo for initial start-up and a larger one to kick in for more sustained bursts of speed) delivers 243bhp and 443lb-ft of torque. It's good for 0-60mph in nine seconds, and fuel economy is improved to 30.4mpg; carbon dioxide output is 244g/km.
A supercharged 5.0-litre petrol V8 (also shared with Jaguar models) is on offer in some markets: with this 461lb-ft unit, the Disco'll do 0-60 in 5.9 seconds, but fuel economy is just 18.9mpg. An updated six-speed automatic gearbox is fitted with the TDV6 and substantial revisions have been made to the suspension and steering.
Off-road capability has been further improved with a new Gradient Release Control function (supplementing the familiar Hill Descent Control), a Sand Launch programme and improved Rock Crawl mode for the electronic Terrain Response system. Trailer stability control is now available too.
Inside, softer leather upholstery is used, there are new front seats with height-adjustable head restraints, and new colour options include 'nutmeg' and a darker brown 'arabica'. Trim details include a soft-touch metallic finish, and replacing some of the switchgear are touch-screen controls.I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. The D3 A frame is contoured over the bumper.
So if fitted to the D4, there will be a gap as the bumper is lower.
One can always use a tube of black mastic to fill the gaps though I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.

Has anyone got any idea what the spec of the lower-end models will be?
Will the S (XS/GS?) and SE have the following?
- LED daylight running lights?
- Leather dash?
- LCD panel in instrument cluster (I think so)
- Wood inserts
- Multi-function steering wheel
I'm asking because almost every single press release for the D3 made a big fuss about the 4x4 screen and had pictures of it, but it was only an option on the top-end models and not on all D3s....I realise that HSEs are much more common in the UK and US, but around here, they are quite few and far between with the S/SE being much more popular...
How much of the new stuff will actually be standard fitment to all D3s? Just the analogue clock and slow-start HDC?

unless there's a COMPLETELY different stereo in the lower spec models I think every spec might have a screen - look at how integrated the controls are in the dash
unless the new big display between the speedo/revcounter is doing the stereo display
