+ 1 what Pete says...

i bought one for less than 90 gbp..

easy to fit a rear view camera (if you fit the camera need a CCF update though)

very much nicer screen, maps mostly from 2010, but if you are lucky... newer...

in the Dark, i do not find the screen brightnes to annoying, but if... you can touch the red cross..

there will come a lot more online, telling you there are better phone solutions..., yes there are... but if you are like me..." if it's there" it has to work somehow.... great upgrade, with still OEM look..

i hate to swich on my phone during driving between maps, music, and other display "things" who are forbidden during driving, like formula one or ice skating (i am dutch Wink) on the TV

for greenlaning and smaller roads, i have always a TomTom on board if i find the need... never use it though for day to day use..
 Best regards
Harold

The D4 units have a hard drive in the screen.
You must have a DENSO screen as per first post

Sorry Pete, I probably asked too short a question haha.

From what has been said, I'm guessing the earlier D4's had the ones with a hard drive in built and the code AH22-10E887-BE was give and 2009, 2010 or 2011... so I'm wondering what other codes there might be to id a suitable on.

I've seen some starting with GH but jo reference to what year the D4 was it came out of... hope that makes a little more sense in terms of what I'm trying to work out...

Or is it any Denso one from a D4 that has a hard drive in them?

Any denso D4 one should have a hard drive.

If it’s denso there is a good chance of it working

Afternoon Galvernised Nuts / PeteK

Do you have a photograph of the rear of the D4 unit, just need to make sure I get the correct part as a replacement for my dead D3 module.

I have been offered a Denso unit for a 2011 model, however the code is BH22-10E887-BD.

There is a pic on the first post of this thread.

If you search ebay for
22-10E887
you can see what the rear should look like.

Some have an extra round connector for traffic info. This is not a problem

It has the correct connectors and things.
However I can't say for certain it will work. The biggest risk appears to be whether a reverse camera will function with it. (a GAP IID is required to try)

Just completed this modification today today, my D3 sat nav unit was toast, and the cost of updating was actually cheaper than replacing the D3 unit and got the benefit of newer maps. Also left a space under the seat, so fitted the UHF/VHF radio base unit under the seat

Thanks to Galvernised nuts for the guide and Pete K for advise

Simple and easy to do although a little daunting, but read the guide a few times prior, and things went smoothly, glad you mentioned about the Range Rover logo.

Does anyone have a code for the plug (reversing camera) and connector pins, so I can complete the installation
