Think they both do the job, Land Rover one is better looking, Safari one is half the price or less

The LR one is a raised air intake ..not a snorkel ...the Safari one is a snorkel but has greater risk potential Thumbs Up

Because it's not designed for a sealed system ....having a Safari imo will encourage you to go deeper ..get water on the bonnet for longer ...you might not flood the engine but risk the electrics or floating away Smile

I went with the RAI as I reckon it looks better. I noticed the wind noise above 80kph, but used to it now.

Thanks for that but I'm a little confused'
So it sounds like the both do different jobs the safari allows you to wade through water but the genuine Landrover doesn't ! So what does it do ?

It raises the air intake so your not sucking in as much dirty air.

Raised Air Intake is to reduce the amount of dust being sucked into the filter.

edit. too slow Smile

Ok getting now! Does the raised air intake provide the engine with more air or just cleaner air ? And does the Safari snorkel do both allow wading and proved more/cleaner air ?

RAI=loss of power and performance. Don't do it for asthetic reasons, do it if you drive a lot in the desert
