Happened at our daughters school (small village everyone knows each other). They never even left a note and despite an appeal through the school, who were cross like me saying that was not the sort of example to set our children, I have heard nothing. Nada. Not even a note apologising even if not leaving details. Body repair shop say that there is no way you could not have known you had done it . It has pushed it so hard that the front drivers door does not close properly now. Is there no decency left amongst British adults any more? Insurance will cover it so its no big drama but why can't people take resposibility anymore?
Rant over, thanks for listening.

Sorry to see, and read...........................agree with you totally.

Happened during the brief 20 mins of parents assembly, no deliveries but plenty of 4x4s about. Mine is the only one that ever turns up with genuine dirt on it!! I'm trying now to build myself up to being without her for 10 days while being fixed, I will have seperation anxiety!

Damn.

Have a look around the other 4x4s that turn up at school, as there may well be one with a scuffed corner showing!

If they drive away they keep their NCD intact and avoid the loading on next year's premium. However, going by the incompetents that swarm around our local school, they would be totally unaware if they drove straight into a road roller!

You say no problem as the insurance will pay but be aware you will lose your no claims bonus as there is no third party to claim from, next years premium will be a Censored unless of course yours is protected Thumbs Up

Sod's. I would wait around at the same place, same time 7 days later to see if you spot any suspect vehicles. Is there any colour left on your door from the other vehicle?

Looks like someone backed into it. Just happened to me but they were honest enough to tell my wife. Mine was further back and damaged the wheel arch trim and pushed it into the wheel arch behind.

When I was teaching SWMBO to drive manual she reversed into a steel post and didn't notice she just kept rying to reverse saaying " why has it stopped moving?" Laughing Rolling Eyes Shocked
So maybe the yummy mummy in the school bus had NFI that she did it. Rolling Eyes

Sorry to learn about your incident there Mr. Tractors. As per above posts, too many ignorant Censored people about.

Out of interest though, did the alarm go off? If not, why not?

Drive2tractors, this has happened to me twice. The first time they did a runner after hitting my rear wing and forcing the arch against the rear wheel of my car (brand new A3)- t@@@ers.

The second time (a few years later again a new car A4 this time) they waited around and told me what had happened. As a appreciation of her honesty i declined payment for repairs and got it sorted myself (minor damage). A couple of weeks later she contacted me and offered to take myself and the better half out for a meal, which we accepted and they were great company. We are still friends today.

I cannot believe how dishonest some people are. There are some unbelievably selfish people out there with no respect of other peoples property.

Yes, protected to cover incedents like these!
A staff car was creased all the way down the side yesterday at pick-up time witnessed by many mums. The culprit: A non English speaking Eastern European nanny driving a lwb Renault Espace, seen with Galway green paint on its rear quarter as it drove away erratically and oblivious to any damage. We are now off to school to lie in wait...... Evil or Very Mad

And doesn't need one for at least 6 months...as long has one from home country...so that point is irrelevant... Rolling Eyes

drive2tractors - good luck with the stake-out Thumbs Up If this is the same vehicle that damaged yours, finger's crossed you can get some admittance of liability and recompense Thumbs Up
