Our delightful dog (one of them) gets very excited and has scratched the rear window tint film. Has anybody else got such an evil dog and has come up with a solution? I am toying with either perspex protection sheet stuck on with velcro or a mesh secured to blocks and then again velcro fixed to the rear window. A prototype of the latter is under construction.
I would use a cage but two border collies in a cage is too much of a squeeze!
Ideas received with thanks (not involving suggestions that involve getting rid of the dogs of course) D4 2014

Wet the glass, then place shrink wrap/cling film over as a temp measure...

Why not go for a dog box, like the one from Lintran? Custom built for the D3 and you lose very little space. There are some pictures in my gallery. You can get them with drawer units above or below the dogs space if you so wish. The surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us yet.

Thanks Snowy! I have sent them an e-mail. Looks like the best way to protect everything. I like the idea of them having to wait until I open the crate gate before they jump out too - a bit more control. D4 2014

Cage works for my two FCR's . Means you can leave the back doors open knowing they are safe in there.
On shot training runs SWMBO has had 4 of them all sat in there. Stops them moving around D4 HSE - Aintree Green

The Lintran is on order! That means that in two weeks I will have a half height dog guard for sale if anyones interested.
My temporary solution is to tie his lead to the dog guard so he can no longer reach the rear window! D4 2014

One of my three decided to jump in before I openend the lower tailgate last night becuase it was in access height and I guess becuase he could. Came back from walk and noticed three big scratch marks down the lower tailgate presumably inflicted on his way in At least a cage would prevent that from happening as presumably you cant open the cage until the lower tailgate is open?
Was planning an evening in the garden with beer, ended up spending an hour with a bottle of T-Cut followed by some polish. Still, had a beer to help me get on with the job so all was not lost
