I use a cage, but the one I have is a little rattly. Been looking at this one: http://www.croftonline.co.uk/scp/Car_Dog_C...rtno=AC.0X It has an escape door, which is handy if the D3/4 does its famous tailgate wont open trick!
My concern about the K9 crate, as per the one in the above ebay link, is the amount of airflow looks a little restricted to me.

Can"t fault our TransK9 B/24
Lifts in & out in seconds
Keeps the inside of the car clean and dry
Leaves half the boot free for storage or the sixth seat can be used.
As tempting as it is to use the top of it for storage - in an accident anything on the top could fly foward and hit a passenger or the driver.D4 2010 HSE Santorini Black

They are outstanding and although I have not seen it done people tell me that the cargo barriers still fit so you can load plenty around it and not have and projectiles in an accident.
I like them because it leaves you with a 6 seater car when needed.

Be sure to check the used boxes on the TransK9 site....I bought mine, A B12, and it was £150 less than new, but you would not tell it from brand new, so a real bargain.

I'm going thru the same debate with SWMBO.
She wants another Barjo (we are using the one from previous car but not big enuf - I think they rattle too much but she is worried about the K9's with soldid sides and air flow.
We want one that is big enuf for our 3 flatties so has to be full size but a divider so that we can reduce it when only one dog being taken out.
I think she said the Barjo is coming out around £650
I have privacy glass but are there fan options that are worth considering?D4 HSE - Aintree Green

My B12 Transk9 has vents in the side, but the great thing is the removeable divider! It can be used for storage when only one dog in residence or put back for two, with just two very easy large headed screws!!

If you are in anyway concerned about airflow have a word with TransK9 who are now back as sponsors on the forum. They can do lots of things to help........

I'm guessing with the B12 you can have the storge drawer?
Very nice but a heck of a lot of money on top of the cage and then you have a shorter cage. I dont think I will be allowed to have that
I'm erring towards the B10 as we need the height for one of ours who is pretty tallD4 HSE - Aintree Green

Yes, they do a storage drawer for the B12, look at bottom of the Storage Drawer page and you'll see a phottie in a Disco4.
485 quid but very smart....go on, she'll let you! Just smile sweetly and give a bunch of flowers!

Just looked and would be ideal for the shooter but need to get my heated steering wheel and rear camera fitted first.
I'll take a look at the height of the B12 tho later and see if its any bigger than the one we already have.D4 HSE - Aintree Green
