Dog's Tail - Closure of Tailgate.!!

Dog owners be warned.....

I was out for a walk with my three excited dogs and whilst standing at the back of the Discovery putting Wellies on kids (seated on the the Inner Tailgate) with the car key in my pocket, the Tailgate started to close on us all.......!!!

The Tailgate was stopped by reaching up for the button on the Tailgate RH edge.

At first I thought one of the kids had pressed the controls on the boot internal.

However, the same thing happened again with only one kid on the Inner Tailgate.

It would appear that a Dog's Tail can activate the "Gesture" sensors Laughing Laughing Laughing

Very much hope you were all okay but just to say that is very funny. So basically if you get the D5 with foot-waving tailgate closure you can't have a dog with a waggy tail.

Flatcoat - I may need to borrow your dog as it is a real Censored to trigger that thing. I think I have the knack now, but if the neighbours were watching they were too polite to comment on my attempts to make it work.

Especially as the only reason I bought the car was to fuel my ego and to brag about it on here, I am not sure I can cope Rolling with laughter

The key needs to be outside the car and within 1 metre I believe.
