Managed to fix my EPB module yesterday thanks to the guide from Disco_Mikey. Wish I had shorter arms for moving around behind the diff, shoulders were tired by the end of winding back the rod! Once latched and greased it worked great, and a lot quieter than it used to be. Saved me over £1k the garage said was needed to fix it.

Fitted a Rewire DB1-lite GPS Tracker using the GPS Live website. Awesome bit of kit which is very affordable with no massive subscription.

Get yourself a trade card and then it is cheaper. You do not have to work in the car industry to apply for one.

I got mine as I have an account at Jewsons but you can apply online. It is worth it especially on batteries, bulbs and wipers.

Having had my lift tail gate switch fail with a double divan in the back, I got it out using the very handy double lock button on the dash fix.
Finally got around to investigating the problem. Removed the upper gate trim to find the connection. Shorted the contacts to hear the motor operate... great, its the switch in the door handle. Damn thing wouldn't unscrew from the door though grrrrr.
Decided to remove the rubber covering the handle and a short stream of water trickled out to reveal a corroded aluminium plate. That cleaned up alright but the problem was one of the hinge tabs broken! Pressing the micro-switch worked the motor fine.
The thing is, I have a local breaker who says that the tailgate handles are going for almost the cost of new ones!
After much faffing around I glued the ali bracket to the rubber cover and put it back together.... works a treat Dave
