Replaced the rear tyres - a screw in the tyre near the sidewall left it irreparable
At least I now have a decent tyre on the spare wheel.

Steve

Replaced the gearbox and rear diff. oil. I was surprised at how black the gearbox oil was, the rear diff. oil was still golden, but a bit milky. The front diff. was replaced last year, so didn’t bother with that and the transfer box was done at 70,000 miles so not due again yet. Car now at 103,000 miles.
Also removed and cleaned both egr valves, as they were starting to stick, not that they were very dirty, but they stuck a bit at each end of travel, now free when operated by hand.Simon.

As she'd sat unloved on the drive for a month or so I gave Moneypit a wash & wax after fitting the D4 rear lights, then it rained.....typical
Oh, I swapped back to the D4 style grill from the Narpy one i make to allow me to tidy it up a bit as the paint on the cut upper edge is flaking.

Replaced the rear offside drop link. What a bloody job. It goes to show LR have as about much engineering sense as next doors cat. Who was the idiot who considered this design fit for purpose. It’s a disgrace. No wonder LR are up against it. It the small things that define the larger. The bottom line is I can’t feel any difference in the handling. LR just a waste of space. There are better options out there. Take note.
Rant over now for a few jars and hope the scratches, bruises and various dents healOnce you have defeated the idiots any job is half done. Pity there are so many idiots to defeat.

How do you rate them? I was looking at picking up some tree sliders but wasn't 100% sure on the Shire Fabrication ones. It looks like they have improved the design since the first version?

Correction to previous post re fitting of drop link. Have noticed an improvement in handing, no more roll. I suppose you would expect that!Once you have defeated the idiots any job is half done. Pity there are so many idiots to defeat.
