Indeed, after having back surgeries was laid up for months and couldn’t do anything , plus every year regardless of the mileage today at the garage all the oils filters etc are being replaced , fuel filter as well as that was replaced 2017 , apart from the ATF oil as mechanic who I trust doesn’t like touching auto boxes
Know it’s a bit of an overkill but always like to do them every year for peace of mind

that is some serious structural steel-work! Tougher than a Defender chassis? (And hopefully more corrosion-resistant...)

Yesterday we took on the Bealach Na Ba road in Scotland.. quite a remarkable road that is a destination in and of itself:

Something smelled hot at this stage, but made it down to Applecross and had a lovely lunch - even helped a chap with a D5 who had a flat.. what a place for one!

Removed the bonnet lettering , used a rubber wheel and some compound , got to give it another go when the sun isn’t directly on the bonnet as can just see the letter outline
cleaned windows and found using a Stanley blade got rid of the old glue from window tints that I removed
Seen one of my headlights has condensation in it, will have to remove and see if the bulb holders are allowing water in
Windscreen scuttle and A pillar trim I painted doesn’t look too bad

A fabulous road that we add to our annual highlands tour every other year or so, as have many on here in the past. I believe many forum members camped at the far side in Applecross D4 HSE Lux MY16 Club Waitomo

Good job...... but are you not puting any lettering back on?
Reckon it needs it ...... and it just so happens I've got some black ones listed in the FS section that would suit it nicely.

Hi Ron
Many thks and heads up ref the letters , but to be honest prefer the look , also rebadged the tailgate
Indeed know it’s down to personal preference
Never know may change my mind down the line
Just been reading up what’s involved removing the orange headlight part , no oven so looks like it will be a hot hair gun

I have finally upgraded my steering wheel to wooden one as I hate sticky steering wheels
some steps
1. air bag removal is pain unless you remove paddle sifters which gives you clear view of wire sercuring air bag to the wheel as per picture:

2.remove ground and SRS cables making sure you know which one goes where later:

3. Before undoing middle screw remove / disconnect white connector

4. Remove middle screw (pretty tight so second pair of hands is welcome unless one has long legs to keep wheel between knees

5.Make sure clock spring remains where it was and do not turn it:

6. Transfer all bits to new wheel: and attached back to the column

the tree screws holding the what i think is some sort of counter weight are pain to screw back in with self tapping screws
7. final result

very happy with the product
