They don't want to sell D4's!
Specked my new D4 HSE up £55.980.. Took my 06 HSE clean with 81k on the clock and full history and was told I could have the new one in March... To px I would get 12k for mine if they had it now or 10.5k if they took it in march.... So I said what disccount with no px? Answer. NOTHING!!!!

With some of us being expected to wait until spring (ordered mine late Sept), I am getting the impression they have no D4s to sell, so little reason to discount.
Not doing the marque much good though - BMW and alike must be loving it.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

FWIW, Matford Land Rover in Exeter have a new Black HSE on the floor in the showroom for sale so they are about, at least that dealer.
They are part of a group which includes Taunton Land Rover and TLO's Yeovil Land Rover so presumably they all have access to that vehicle if Exeter is too far to travel.

Just changed my wife's XF jag for a X5,£12K discount, new model out end of next year so will probably hit residual's but seemed too good a deal to pass on.
When I bought my new D3 I spent an entire day at the 'phone ringing dealers all round the country to get a discount.
My local dealer had offered £3k, but wouldn't offer a penny more off.
I waited until a week before the end of the quarter and got £7+ off a new car to my spec.
Doing a deal in the days before Christmas should produce a good result - certainly a few £k off.

And a year ago I got 8% off fairly basic spec via Drive the Deal - ordered Dec , arrived early March , easy and efficient process.
I would be careful with some of the online brokers - some as DtD say order via leasing arrangements which they are not supposed to - and then LR find out and stop it.
My SW London dealer would not give a penny off list price, saying there could be a few quid off the gap insurance. Also every single D4 was ordered in Grey, Silver of Black - he showed me the order list.

Don't worry, looks like there will be extra capacity for manufacture of Discos soon:
Jaguar Land Rover is to make vehicles in China for the first time after Beijing approved a £1bn joint venture.
The West Midlands-based luxury carmaker agreed a "milestone" deal with Chery Automobile and will build a plant near Shanghai, which is due to open in 2015.

Mind you they need winter rubber to really work at this time of year.
