Good day all, I have recently sold my Disco 3 (loved it) for a Disco 4 HSE Facelift HSE (also love it).
With the D3, when you pulled off and reached a certain speed the car would automatically lock. However, when you stopped, anyone inside the car could open their door, simply by pulling on the inside door handle, and you could unlock the car by pressing the dash mounted unlock switch.
On the Disco 4, the car automatically locks on pull off in the same way. HOWEVER, when you stop sometimes you can unlock the car by pulling the handle, sometimes you can't. Furthermore, if pulling the handle does not unlock the car, neither does pressing the door mounted unlock switch. Neither does pressing the unlock button on the key. And it seems there is no way off opening the boot with the motor switched on. This happens constantly, whereas opening the doors is an intermittent problem.
Is this a setting, or is there a fault? I have read the owners manual, but cannot find anything related to the above points in terms of settings. Does anyone have any knowledge on the topic.
I would appreciate any input anyone may have.
Many thanks,
Chris.

Is the unlock problem on all doors, thinking towards a lazy door actuator motor.
You must have it in Park to open the boot with the engine running.

The door unlock is on all doors.
I am unable to open the boot with the motor on, even if it is in park.
