DPF?

How can I easily check if I have a DPF?

I have an early (Dec 2009) D4 3.0 TDV6 XS. Some articles seem to suggest that a DPF may not be fitted which means the EGR can be blanked(?) as well as a remap, but want to understand what I've got before deciding what I can or cannot do.

Thanks
 Tony

Do you have the 2.7L engine? If you do, I’m certain it will not have a DPF. My 2010 3.0 D4 didn’t have a DPF. Someone will be along with the dates when DPF became standard fit.

If it says 3.0 TDV6 on the back, its probably not got a dpf, but the VIN is the sure fire way to check

Thanks people. I'm going out later to check the VIN. As mine is an early D4 (3.0 TDV6) I'm hoping there is no DPF (fingers crossed).

Arranging to get a remap with a software patch for the EGR valves. If no DPF then I'll probably blank the EGR's as well.

Have a quick look underneath, around the front passenger seat area, you'll soon see it or it'll be just the exhaust pipe run through there.

Based on the VIN I don't have a DBF (F in column 5)....yay! Smile

So when I get the remap with EGR removal software patch can I also blank the EGR's with no issues resulting?

Next on the list of things to do...

RLD Spare wheel protector
Bottle Jack
Roof bar foot pack
All Terrains (Cooper Zeon LTZ or Cooper AT3)
Fixed Towbar
Decent Headlamp bulbs
Front Spots
LED Roof light bar
etc
etc
etc
.
.
.
ad infinitum Smile

What difference does remapping with the egr blank activated have on a dpf?
 Jaguar I-Pace HSE imminent.
Gone HSE with Flappy Paddles. IID BT tool. RLD Spare Protector, Altox GPS.

Thanks DSL for the link, I've just checked mine 2008 D3 2.7 SE DV6 mines 1 in colunm 5 so I guess I haven't got a DPF fitted

Thumbs Up
