Drivers door window switches |
|
Attempting to replace switches, when I pop them out the door card there isn't enough play in the wiring harness to lift clear. Am I not being brave enough or so I need to remove the door card?
Thought I was in for a 2 minute fix -

Two minute job to remove door cards, removeALL screws, put a box under the door card pack it up with soft material to catch it when it comes off and pull the card off, if will come off with a frightening bang, disconnect the opening cable, press the retaining clip on the electric switch plug and pull it off, the switches will then push out from underneath.
The new switches can be tested without replacing the door card by just plugging them in. Hope that helps It can when others can't,

Screws behind the door opening handle, behind the logo plug on the door and in the two “holes” near the bottom of the card, also release the tweeter speaker by giving it a pull near the top, it is connected to the card so take care, I use a steel ruler to prevent damage. It can when others can't,
