Evening all can anyone please tell me if they have taken the leather cover off the drivers seat base do you need any special tools also is it easy lol

I will be taking it of to repair it I hope as the heating pad underneath the leather has given up and I want to replace it

Yes several times on 3s and 4s, no “special” tools needed, a pair of long nose pliers and an extra pair of hands can make it easier, heater elements usually fail in the same place and can be easily repaired if you know how to use a soldering iron
Probably the hardest part is screwing the front retaining torque screws back in after the element has been replaced, be doubly sure you use the correct size torque bit as the screws are very soft and strip easily turning a comparatively easy job into a nightmare It can when others can't,
