Driving Lamps

I have just fitted driving lamps using the Landrover wiring kit but the lights don't work. The switch illuminates with the side lights, and the orange warning lights works when you press the switch but the driving lamps don't come on. The relay dosn't work either. Does any one know if the car has to be programmed to tell it the lamps have been fitted?

Thanks for the prompt answers - I should have asked before I spent the last 3 hours in heavy rain checking what I had done - I didn't think you could connect them wrong! Just a pity the instructions can't also have a line printed in words saying "needs to be progammed" rather than a load of poor quality drawings. Exclamation
