DRL below fog lights. Anyone done mod them selves?

Been looking at these on and off for a while. Just wondered if anyone has fitted them them selves or people who have them just got them from dealer when buying the car.

I have past a few on the roads & think they look pretty eye catching, and would consider buying some if reasonably cheep.

What's people's thoughts?

I looked into these a while ago now and was put off by the price and work involved fitting them. I seem to remember roughly 15 hours work and they are in excess of £600 (maybe more I cant remember exactly) to buy the kit alone!

I fitted these which were a fraction of the price but had issues with the controller and them flashing so took them off and haven't replaced them. These are the Phillips DRL 4 from memory but there are loads of aftermarket ones available

I installed these for GBP10 and it works great - off when main beam comes on and on when car is started with no lights on.
