Are DRLs full wattage xenon
The Canadian spec LR3 uses the low bean xenon as a DRL. What is surprisingis that it appears to be full wattage. Should the low beam DRL be these way or should it be reduced wattage?

The control of low to high beam on xenons is by way of a moving shutter to partially obscure the light output rather than two different bulbs or power levels.Bodsys Brake Bible

Thanks. It appears theat the DRL is indeed full watt xenon. Looks like bulb replacement will be the order of the day.

Both the Canadian and Scandanavian DRLs use the low-beam function of the bi-xenon headlights (as well as the side-lights and number plate lamps). They are not run in any type of "low-power" mode as per some other cars.
The main-beam function, which as Bodsy says, opens the high-beam shutter and is usually activated by pushing the indicator stalk forwards is desactivated and will not work until the lights are put under manual control.

One last question. I have one white xenon and one quite yellowish. I would assume the yellowish one is on the way out?

I just went through the process of replacing the xenon HID in my LR3. When purchasing the light I found that the DS2 bulb can have different temperatures that create different colours.
Perhaps one of your lights are different Kelvin. I believe the standard is 4300K.
