varta make the lr batteries. i have a varta D34 72amphours i think. will check. the optima for real offroaaaaahhhhding high angle no leek stuff. There's one wheel on my wagon, but i'm still rollin' along, it's the cherokee, they're after me, but I'm singing a happy song

If a Varta battery fits then it would be fine. The problem I have found is that other than the Optima, needless to say, the dearest battery option, all other batteries require some form of modification to be made to either the battery, the battery bracket, or the battery compartment or a combination of all three.
The Optima D34 drops straight in and the cover fit on properly. 2008 TDV8 RR Lux + 2009 D4 2.7

I fitted Blue top Optima.
Same specs as Yellow top but has 2 small extra terminals on top.
For me at the time it was a fair bit cheaper than yellow top. Thought 2 extra terminals might be a problem but no issues what so ever. D4 Landmark MY16 Santorini Black THE LAST

I fitted the 60Ah Varta deep cycle battery, without modifying anything.

Hi Peter, and have you got the part number for the Varta.
It's always good to have a few options. 2008 TDV8 RR Lux + 2009 D4 2.7
