Is there an easier way to remove the Nearisde rear injector?

Just done all six and the left rear one alone took the same time as all the other five put together!
Battery out, half the battery box and some tugging on the loom gave me enough wiggle room, but as I was doing it I thought there has got to be an easier way?

Have to say engine sounds much smoother. certainly starts better.

Well 50 miles later and the leak off pipe fell off, that made a mess, new clip and okay since.

The gearbox now changes gear way smoother than before, in fact it has never been this good in the 4.5 years I have had the car.

It also seems to have more power and I cannot see any smoke in the headlamps of following cars, which before was a bit of an issue especially if you gunned it off the lights/slip road etc.

Slight hunting at idle when engine cold and external temps below 10degc ish (so has been fine all summer) 1 new injector sorted it for a while then it came back and i thought, I am not playing that game so did all 6.
There was also a code for injector trim close to limit, this went away with the new injector then came back on another cylinder.

After pic, have a before before one somewhere but cant find amongst all the junk, edit found one of them.

This is the pic from before the injector change, but do not appear to have one from after the single injector change but before the new ones.

Hi, when you remove the crossover cooling pipe of the EGR it is not difficult to change all injectors. What price have you payed for the new injectors?

I can never remember which cylinder is which injector!

I think the main issue is when the injector reading is to high as it is trying to compensate for the one before or after it and this is where it gets confusing on the old brain.

Remove an injector plug while engine is running. Shut off engine immediately after this. Than you can find a failure called restricted injector No. .... So you will know which number is shown in your ID Tool.

I always remember the injectors to cylinder order as when sat in the car looking forward ( right hand drive ) is
Injector order
* front drivers side 1
* front passenger side 2
* middle drivers side 3
* middle passenger side 4
* rear drivers side 5
* rear passenger side 6

Note front is furthest away when in the car
Hope it helps

Also when I select the injectors on my gap tool I don’t go 123456. I select 214365 so when displayed as sat in the car it shows the same layout of injectors to cylinders top is front middle is middle and bottom of screen is rears
