(Ebay) Cross Bars
I picked up some cross bars on ebay this evening for £105 with BuyItNow, the funny thing is that its my local dealer in Yeovil who are selling them 2004 Discovery 3 - gone

Picked mine up today can't put them on yet because I still haven't got round to putting my roof rails on Normal dealer price is just over £156 so bargain really.2004 Discovery 3 - gone

Reckon you may see a lot of these on Ebay, as I for one got them with the car! But have not used them yet as,
1 you need a ladder to get up there!
2 the boot is soooo big I have not needed it

I've used mine. If you stand on top of the rear tyre it saves using a ladder
I 'adapted' a Halfords top box to fit them, by drilling new mounting holes in the box, and opening out the u bolts a fraction to fit around the roof bars.
To load the top box, open the tail gate, open the lower tailgate, shut the top tail gate and stand on the lower bit.
Used it to carry the surf boards, wet suits and beach gear on holiday.

I've used mine but found that I had to make new brackets for the thule box as they wer'nt wide enough to go round the rails as they are much wider than normal rails.(another ploy to make you invest into L.R. parts)

yeah but as it turns out thats OK really because they keep turning up on ebay for a lot cheaper than from the dealerships just means we have to wait a bit longer 2004 Discovery 3 - gone

They are`nt silly!!
The G4 pack is being released in the middle of next month (nov).
So they will probably need some shelf space.
Snorkel and ladder on my christmas list......................
