EGR blanking on -05, can it cause Limp home mode?

I had faulty EGRs, bought a kit from Bell Auto, had a local mechanic install it and have driven happily for 6 months.

While "playing in the snow" testing the cars capabilities this winter it went into Limp home mode, and sent out all sorts of fault codes. Engine, body control etc. I was driving/spinning AND changing settings on Terrain Respons, wheel spin, wheel lift the works. All at the same time.

A very competent LR dealer is trying to fix it these days but are claiming the removed EGRs cause a; fault codes and b; limp home mode.

Could the EGR or butterfly valve cause this is removed/installed incorrectly?

I doubt blanking egr could cause the limp mode
especialy on early models
look around hi pressure pump or mass flow meter for the reason
Egrs r not causing limping home

Blanking the EGR's would not cause engine safe mode but if EGR fault code is suggesting that, there may be a problem in the solenoid electrics. Some of the early EGR's suffered moisture ingress and corrosion.

I've been driving with blanked EGR's and logged EGR fault codes for around a month now, but nothing untoward has happened. Don't believe it ever will either on an EUIII engine.

OK, thanks for input. Could off course be a engine fault. I related it to height measuring and it`s limp home mode.
