EGR blocking with 3d printed parts

Have now had an EGR failure on my 2005 disco 3. I ordered the blocking plates of some ebay seller, but as i have a 3d printer and a CNC mill, i thought i would give it a go at making the plates myself.
i have now printed ( prototyped ) the blocking plate going on the EGR valve and i wondered if this printed PETG plate could take the stress of being mounted. is there some one that have experience with 3d printed blocking plates for the EGR valve ? i will still mill the parts in alu but, would be nice to know if anyone has done this mod with plastic parts=)

Plastic will not survive at the EGR end as the temp will melt it pretty rapidly. Great to have the gear to make it up in aluminium though Thumbs Up

If you can scale up production you could be onto a little beer money Laughing earner

I thought you could get blanks for £4 on ebay.

Maybe prices have increased.

Nice idea but the blanking plates are so cheap it seems like a lot of work.

Only need the two flat plates, slip it in between the flanges (oh er) and do the bolts up job done and looks std from the outside for mot purposes.
