1st Long Trip
Going down to North Devon at the end of the month for a bit of a break , 1st decent run out since we got the D4 in July .
We will be travelling via M6/M5 early doors on a Sunday and don't expect much traffic (did same run last year in DS) which returned 45mpg round trip of 600 mls , cruise set at 70 where applicable .
Thinking of cruise set at 60 this time , was thinking are we likely to see 30 mpg for the trip ?.
I've managed to see 35MPG on mine if I cruise at only 60 mph - at that sort of speed, the engine is hardly ticking over!
I can usually get 30MPG doing around 70-75mph.... I've definitely slowed down since having a D4... the Disco lends itself to cruising at a far more sedate speed

Looking forward to enjoying the trip

I did Hamburg to Calais averaging 80mph and got 34mpg but from Dover to Wiltshire doing varying speeds only got 27mpg.
Last time I did better on the Europe side and faster too.

Well Trip to Blackpool and Back for the lights has seen 31.3 mpg brim to brim, went up at 70 and back at 65 mph.
Reasonable for a brick on wheels, that was 5 up and luggage, plus the kids said they were super comfy in the back instead of all cramped in the old A6. That made the difference for me, 3 of them in the back with space and comfort, heated seats all round and a fridge if we need it, whats not to love with these cars.
I had reduced my mpg computer to -1.5% from 10% to try to make it more accurate, it had recorded 32.4 mpg so it's not to far off now.
