this light according to the manual, should only be for the petrol engined car. Diesel engine management light is different. Or is the manual wrong again...?

I had an EGR fault logged for some time on the O/S valve. It wasn't till the N/S started playing up that I lost power, so you may only have one that's gone down.
Of course mine is an earlier D3 so no warning light.Faultmate MSV2 EXTREME

Normal doctrine states that 'A' Bank is on the left as you look at the 'free end' of the engine, i.e. on the driver's side of the car on a RHD vehicle.
Bearing in mind the engine was developed in conjunction with Peugeot, anything is possible (the French build cars weird!) ...Regards,

Ian, this is the same as what happened with my EGR fault on the D3.
i.e. Light on, no loss of power etc.
My D3 was under warranty at the time and had covered 60K miles.
LR replaced both EGR valves.
I know your D3 is about 4 months out of warranty but it might be worth asking the question.
I think other people have had them replaced out of warranty.

Lee, there was no smoke when you were tanking past me
And fault codes cleared, no light............Until this morning
Les, if I'd have done the last service at a dealer, then I think they might entertain the idea, but I haven't so I'm not convinced that they'd be too open for it......
I'll probably end up doing it myself, as even a 50% LR 'contribution' would make it more expensive for me to go to the dealer. Might give it a try though Bodsys Brake Bible
