Engine oil recommendation for discovery 4 DPF
What is the best oil between: Catroll 5/30 C1; Shell Helix Ukltra Proff AF-L 5/30 or Mobil Mobil Super 3000 Formula C1 5/30 ?
Currently i used Castrol C1 but I noticed the engine consumes a little oil (+/- 0,7 L on 6000 Km)
Previous experiences with toyota Land Cruiser consumption every 10,000 km was almost nothing and I used shell oil
Thanks Peter

If I understand your post correctly you are using 700ml of oil every 6,000 km, yes?
If so something is not right there, inspect for oil leaks! By the way, what mileage?yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

The system that measures the oil seems to be very sensitive to time left after running, incline of car. I'd try and ensure you are testing it frequently and as importantly, consistently in terms of incline, time left etc. before assuming you are using what sounds like a fairly heavy consumption.

Short journeys are a killer for all engines if they do not reach full temperature. Repeated behavior of this type will cause premature wear to the piston rings amongst other components. As a guide, if you consider that 80% of all engine wear occurs during the warm up period, you quickly begin to recognise the importance of allowing the engine to reach full temperature.
Could it be you are now burning oil as a result? It has to be going somewhere if there's no leaks!yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ
