my oil level is showing about half but I cant get in for a full oil service for another couple of months yet.

which oil does mine need please and how much to top up from approx. half way point

2011(61) SDV6 255 8 SPEED (im assuming no DPF)

0.5l should be plenty

add no more than 0.25l in the first top up.


Personally I wouldn't add any unless

1) you off road loads
2) you know the car uses oil

hadn't realised this thread was D3 when I searched, I have a D4 so have also posted the question in there and the consensus there is leave it alone as well as it will tell me to top up with a specific amount if needed. 2011 D4 XS 305 MY12 - gone but not forgotten
