So an update, I replaced the crankshaft trigger wheel with a Land Rover OEM one. I also replaced the sensor (aftermarket). After fitting the engine, giving it a try, letting it stand for the battery to recharge, tried it again, and it's alive Smile

Some little things I still have to fit such as the headlights and bumper and I should be able to take it for a test drive.

This was covered in LRtime on the tube, same thing I think trigger wheel. Seems to happen a lot after a rebuild.

I used the Chinese made trigger wheel installation tool. The play on the tool was negligible.

LR Time's video was very informative, I did contemplate removing my gearbox, rather than pulling the engine, but by this time I got the engine in and out and back in routine going quite nicely. Also didn't feel like having to battle lifting the auto box out and in, I also don't have a decent transmission jack or transmission to jack bracket currently.

I also replaced the sensor, which might have been overkill, but I really didn't feel like leaving anything to chance anymore.

Hopefully I get time for assembling the bumper etc. this weekend and take it for a test drive.
