england.....no comment..random ranting,, |
|
you go away for a week, brilliant, well earned break and all that,,,,
but BOY do you pay for it when you get back,,,, only been home 24 hours and last week feels like years ago....
want to get back on the plane, or better still, swmbo has suggested driving the d3 down next time...
so far this week i'm f cked off with:
1. the last 500 metres before landing at gatwick,,, someone chose the bumpiest air on earth to put by the runway...swmbo has heart failure EVERY time...
2. the weather,, got about 10' colder while away...
3. rain.. bloomin eck there's alot of it about.
4. british drivers....combined with number2 above is a recipe for doubling the time it takes to get anywhere..
5. fuel prices... arrggghhh
6. little brothers swmbo...
7.speed cameras..
am sure there's plenty more....
on the flip side, england sure is wonderfully GREEN at the moment,,,, very pretty... one wife.......livid

Last year I had a tax bill due Dec. 25th! I sent the check in a Christmas card I'm not so good at giving advice...may I offer you a sarcastic comment instead?

10 foot colder Thats nothing compared to how tall the weather was when you were away
Worst thing about any great holiday is the coming home bit.

Ady,
That's got to be the most expensive police shunt...I hope for his sake it fully insured..Only in Italy
Just think..if they had given the british cops a car like that they would have sold it to buy a hundred Prius.

No...no one would be allowed to drive it...H&S would say it is to low, too loud, too fast etc etc etc...
Italy - where they drive a Police Lamborghini in uniforms designed by Valentino...and always look 8) in sunglasses, no matter the weather The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...
Club "yes, I too have had the EGR's replaced..."
Club "yes, I too have had the compressor replaced..."
Club "yes, I too once had the car at the dealer for a couple of weeks nearly 4 weeks over 4 weeks...5 weeks"
Club "yes, I too have had EPB failure..."
Club "yes, I too get mysterious bings and bongs..."

I feel like that EVERY time I come back to the UK. I could have spent the week with my nose pressed against a Romanian peasant grandmother's armpit (it's ok, I offset it against tax) and it's still a better option than the M20/M25/M3 and the thought of paying ever larger amounts of my wedge to the socialist scum and their parasitic client state. s
Still, only 13 weeks until I go skiing I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

I'm working on it, relentlessly. I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
