My son keeps telling me that Land Rover's are supposed to look dirty but I just can't hold back from spending most of a saturday washing and waxing her.
Took the D3 greenlaning recently and couldnt help but get home and get the Autoglym out!. The HD WAX is amazing - expensive but amazing!
Am i alone in my desire to continually wash/wax???

It's an allergic reaction to the chemicals found in the black paint. Others have been similarly affected.
Rarely happens when exposed to silver paint, unless you find you have been in recent contact with an owner of a black one. Bodsy, I'm looking at you...... and tell Gary to stop sniggering. I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

This reaction would apply to my buckinham blue - The HD WAX makes it look better than when she was sat in a showroom. Not natural for a LR i know but i can't help myself. I would be the same if i had a defender!

I'm with you on this, thought it was OCD for a while, just cant stand it being dirty. I bought a couple of supagard sponges on the bay and use them regularly, it takes the same amount of time as waxing but the benefit you get is that the polish is enclosed in the sponge meaning that you dont need to keep stopping to add polish to your applicator, leave it for around 20 mins to dry then wipe it all away. I say 20 mins to dry but by the time you get it over all the panels then the first panel will be dry enought to wipe off. Sorry for the lengthy reply but I get a buzz out of cleaning and then seeing the end results, I think its nice when people comment on how clean it looks. I have seen me washing mines at 11 pm just so that it would be clean for heading out in the morning, sad I know but I cant help it !! to finish second is to be first last !!

When I saw Bodsy's last weekend, he was definately not suffering from OCD - think it was last cleaned last year Mark.

Silver paint here and I can confirm not suffering from OCD.
Last wash before the first frost in november. It was zermatt then but looks like a zebra with silver for white stripes...

Oh no, dealer washed it. I hardly recognised it on arrival.
