Genuine or the Borg and Beck offering from AF?
Any recommendations please?

As they only work when stationary, the wear rate is very minimal so it really does not matter

Agree. More concerned with a spring popping off.
Managed to find a post stating that a bit of reaming was required for the EPB cable hole but not a lot else on the Forum. Mintex version seems to have issues. Unable to find any positve feedback on the B&B offering.
Spolit for choice as AF and LR are within a mile.
LR as sold on an per side basis and therefore around 3.5x the cost of the AF offering. No pins either. Only need to do one side but will probably do both.

I chose genuine, theres so many issues that could happen, why take a chance on saving a few quid that you are only going to replace the once?
Mintex have a bad name in the series land rover world, linings coming adrift, incorrectly made and so on.

I would always go genuine on the shoes. I didn’t once and the Pagid one’s I’d purchased didn’t fit properly
Everything was in bits and I’ve got a set of shoes that don’t fit
Luckily had access to another vehicle so I could go and get a set of genuine ones. I might have just been unlucky but lesson learned and all that. Discovery 4 HSE

On any brake shoes, I chamfer the material at both ends with a file to make sure it does not bind
