Bit cheeky here, but also posted on the RRS site 
2010 3ltr RRs, so I suspect the same EPB module as D3/D4. Got the dreaded screech on Sunday together with flashing red and amber triangle park brake fault on dash, EPB would not disengage. Turned ignition off, waited, ignition back on, EPB off and no lights. Drove home, tried again and got the same thing.
Took it to local LR specialist who found the following fault codes;
C1A46-64 PBM Actuator plausibility check, mismatch between motor drive current and resultant force.
Historical U3000-16 PMB control module.
At this point the EPB was not jammed off, however it now is jammed and screeching on my drive way.
The thought is that the module is fubar'd, unless anyone has a (cheaper, please) alternative.
I also have no idea where the emergency release is, I can only find reference to the non facelift RRS.
Any thoughts gratefully received. CGA
