Urgent plea for help! Beofre anybody says do a search please read the below:
1) I have usual signs of the screaming and yellow and red P which goes on and off
2) I have searched but i am not very mechanically minded so most goes over my head!
3) I am in Malawi and we have no LR dealer (or one who has trained mechanincs) so i need to give very simple instructions to the one mechanic who has worked on LR3's!
4) our internet is so pants every time i search the connection goes and i have to start again!
I would like help on what needs to be done exactly and what parts i need to buy so i can order them from the Uk in good time. If somebody can give me a link with a blow by blow description i would be most obliged.
Many thanks is advance.
Oh just so you know what i am dealing with, the last time my LR3 broke down for 4 months the purpoted LR mechanic made me order 2 high pressure pumps at around 800 quid. This didnt help- i transpired it was a dirty diesel filter. I hope this shows the need for help!!!

if you are getting the screeeeching noise the actuator rod has reached the end of its travel inside the park brake module! if it has not been making the noise for long and you dont have access to a diag computer and the handbrake set up has not worked then you can remove the module unwine the cables by hand refit module, carry out handbrake shoe set up and you should be back on the road, good luck

Print Bodsy's guide and give it to the mechanic - that will fix it
