EPB module DIY change
Well as I am now a member of the failed EPB club on my MY05 disco 3, recent diagnosis points to the common module failure. Dealer quotes range from 6 to £700 for a supply and fit. Has anybody had a go at this themselves? can anyone confirm how difficult it is? is it a job for a home mechanic ? Lastly, does anyone have a rough price for a new module ?
I've seen them on ebay for about £150 I think (new). May need to change mine soon after its 1st screamer the other day. I think there's some posts on here about changing it DIY - I'll have a search. Shouldn't be too difficult - electrical connectro, 2 brake cables and the emergency release cable. Not sure about the diagnostic side of things though. Wiggs might have the LR instructions for the EPB change, if you ask him nicely Previously:

Many thanks guys, thats where i have seen it , i remember reading the post but couldnt find it again. Searched ebay, none on at present, I read a post recently that suggested on some occasions the entire body may need lifting off to give access to the 2 securing bolts if thats the case it will be a garage job !!!!

Not to worry dont have to lift anything fairly straigh forward job just drop down the spare
after replacement have to do calibration to turn off yellows on dash (did a few)
