EPB module screeching when engine off!!??
Hello,
The EPB (hand brake) module on my D3, 2006, 2.7 V6, works fine with the engine running ( there still a slight whirring sound) but when applied with the engine off, it screeches like a banshee. Shocking sound.
Why would this be happening?
What can be done?

Needs adjustment/servicing. Do it ASAP before the module is damaged.
Mine was the same, I guess the EPB is applied a bit more tightly when the key is switched off.06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

Same happened to me recently, it was the epb pads which had worn out, had them replace and all is well.General Grabber AT3's
EGR Valves Blanked
Aluminium sump guard
Tree/Rock sliders.
Bank Account - Empty.
