Essex - Looking for garage recommendations for a service

At the last service, I was informed the turbo was leaking and this would mean removing the entire body and any extra costs of about £2000.00 which was a bit scary.

I looked for another nearby specialist to get a second opinion and went over to Broadfields and Paul did a quick check and if it were leaking there would be no need to remove the body so this gave me more confidence.

I have booked my car next week at Broadfields for two new tyres and to check everything before going abroad. Quoted £102.00 plus vat each tyre which I thought was more than reasonable.

Broadfields gives me confidence than LRS.

I changed to using Paul at Broadfields this year after using Ongar Bridge for nearly 10 years on my D3 and D4 - I would still buy from Ongar Bridge.

Had the seven year service and MOT in March and tailgate fixed last month.

Lucky enough to live close enough for him to collect my D4, complete work and bring it back again.

One happy customer.

I did use Taylors in Dunmow last month for a replacement compressor under warranty as it was only 16 months old and would use them again for a Land Rover dealer (would never use Lookers in Chelmsford) D4 2010 HSE Santorini Black
D3 2005 SE Java Black - p/x to D4
D2 2001 GS - p/x to D3
D1 1998 - p/x to D2

I've used "Essex 4*4", on the outskirts of Wickford. They seem very knowledgeable and sensibly priced. All ex-land Rover technicians.

Fantastic service from Paul at Broadfields today. Changed two tyres, diagnosed leaking oil filter and replaced, did smoke test and discovered split turbo hose (something they have never had to replace) and changed steering wheel all in 2 hours.

No messing about just professional and great customer service, will definitely going back next week to repair the long undiagnosed problem with the leaking turbo and puffs of black smoke.
