Def has been an ongoing issue on commerical vehicles since it came out in 2006, I reckon more than 70 percent of vehicle breakdowns are emissions related.
E4 was a nightmare for the first couple of years
E5 pretty much the same tech just more of it so had same problems, but by 2008 people had got a good handle on the issues.
E6 kin hell nightmare after nightmare
I think the reason cars dont suffer the same issues is simply they dont do the work/miles or use the anywheres near the same quantity of Adblue.

A farmer friend has not had any issues with DEF on his tractors, although they'll not cover much mileage and certainly not in comparison to an HGV. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE
