Oct 2006 build is about the change of MY so may be a 07MY so EU4 so can be blanked but will throw up the EML with out remap etc.
If Oct 2006 is a 06MY then should be OK.
If in the VIN it is a sequence of SALL#####7A###### then it is a 07MY - if the number is 6A then a 06MY.

It can but you will need to register it £60 then buy a BAS patch £180 or so , may be less to use a local indie to do the patch I can’t say how much that may be.

If you don’t register the tool to the vin No then the tool won’t work on the vehicle and you cannot download the patch from BAS either. That’s why an indie may be cheaper ? GAP pro is different.
