?? Expedition Roof Rack

Hi I have been looking at the Prospeed expo roof rack can anyone tell me how they are fitted ?
My D4 is a GS and does not have roof rails are these a necessity to secure it and if so can roof rails be added after market ? ?

You need the short roof rails, but Prospeed may have other options as well..? You could always ask them.
Roof rails can be added after market.

There are 6 nuts that are inserted into the roofrail, the rack is then fastened by using 6 bolts that double as eyelets for securing stuff. In addition there are two screws that are fastened at the front of the car, you have to remove a cover to find the hole. You will also have to remove the two rear plastic covers on the roof rail for proper alignment of the rack.

My only regret with the rack is that I bought the one that should be compatible with the sunroof, it reduces the usable space on the rack, and you can't fully open the sunroof anyways. If I had bought it again I would have gone for the regular version.

I had a different problem,my Landmark had extended roofrails so I had to change them for standard ones,the pic below shows you the very front fixing point Thumbs Up

Does the rack mount through the existing roof rail bolt holes or does it use the T bolt system ?

EDIT ... Just re read Ilrons post it uses the t bolt system and you slide the nut of the rack into the T of the roof rail ?? Correct ? MY18 D5 HSE LUX😎

I am having threaded sockets for tie down eyes fitted to the centre tubes so it is a made to order. 3 week delivery.

Don't know if you can buy a standard rack 'off the shelf', you'll have to drop Ben an email or call... Thumbs Up
