Experience day - recommendations please

Well, 4 weeks to the day after receiving my Disco, the Landrover Experience Voucher has popped through the letterbox Very Happy

Being based near Bristol, I guess my nearest centre may be the one in North Gloucestershire - (Eastnor from memory?).

I'm spending Easter in Snowdonia and was wondering if anyone has experience of the centre up there? I'm also tossing up whether to extend the experience to a full day.

I've seen from some past posts that the full day is worth upgrading to - I'd like to hear your reasons why!

Can anyone feed back on the following:

1. Thoughts on the Snowdonia centre vs. Eastnor
2. What does a full day get you over what a half day? 2 X the same fun or does one get more stuck in - some examples of a typical full day would be most useful.

Great forum - I find out something new every time I visit!

John

Re: Experience day - recommendations please

I just did my full day at Eastnor and have to say it's definitely worth the upgrade. I did a half day with my previous LR and the full day was much more in depth. In my case we went to some more difficult and technical parts of the course than we would have had time for on the half day.

I can't compare with Snowdonia but I chose to go to Eastnor, despite the Milton Keynes site being nearer, as this is where LR test their vehicles. Whilst I was there we saw a number of disguised Freelanders under test.

Eastnor is really the best as they are the most up to date instructors and always on their metal, with loads of vehicles. The tracks are designed to be both interesting and challenging. They are specially built to take LR's to their limits.

Thanks for all the advice.

Looks like Eastnor is the place to go and level 1 looks very tempting!

But you must tell us all about it. Have a good one.

Don't bother with the half day, the level 1 is a much better deal
