About 4 weeks ago I treated myself to some breathed upon electrickery from Bell Auto's. One thing I thought was that if I drove reasonably sedately (as befits a gent of my standing), having the extra oomph, but not booting it would result in slight better mpg (a sound theory your honour). To a small extent, it has.
But..... tonight I hooned it back up the M40, and having close on 530Nm torque is a mighty fine way to shift BMW's out of the outside lane 
I also scared to wotsits off an RRS who thought he was shifting 
and, and the MPG went up (OK on the trip comp) from 30.6 to 32.6. (So officer, I was just trying to improve my MPG, honest)
worth every penny

Now all you've got to do is deCat it and add an upgraded intercooler and watch it really fly.
