About 270 miles - A round trip of over 500 miles
There are, of course, LR dealers who are closer (I think I pass about 5 or 6 en-route), but that's the price you pay for finding a GOOD delaer rather than just a stealer
JMC, which dealer do you use, so far I have used Town & County in Aberdeen, but this is for warrantee work, don’t know the cost of servicing there, who are the dealerships of choice in our neck of the woods?

About a 30 mile round trip to Hartwell's near Oxford. I've not had to use them on the D3 yet but 4 years with the FL was for the most part OK. Very pleasant to deal with and free coffee was nice whilst you wait. Downside was they really didn't seem to be able to fix injector faults first time. It seemed to take 2 or 3 attempts to identify the problem and then actually resolve it. And they never have the parts in stock. In fact i think the parts department was a complete fantasy, it was only ever a parts order department.

I travel about 80km round trip.
This might not seem much but if you count probably 15 trips to the dealer plus 3 services then those km's add up in less than 2 years.
We should start a new thread up on...
1. how many trips have you had to the dealer for the same problem? - 3 for the SRS Warning light, 3 for the A/C
2. how many trips have you had (not including schedule services) over how many months? 15 trips over 20 months
3. how much time have you wasted driving to and from the dealer? Countless
4. how much fuel you used and what compensation did you get? Probably 120lts
5. how many days was the longest that you had to wait for your D3 to be fixed? 3 days to fix loss of power
I'm sure there will be some interesting statistics.
