My first full tank in my D4 has shown 24.3 on the dash but mu fuel app shows 19.1. One of the things that crossed my mind that would account for some of the discrepancy is the FBH, as I work shifts I do make good use of this, last week for instance on nights it was set to come on for both going to work and coming home. As it's running for 1/2 an hour before a 10 mile journey, it must have an impact on the MPG. Does anyone know what sort of rate it burns fuel at?

If the D4 trip is as accurate as the D3 one then you can knock anything from 2 - 5mpg off what the comp says. You're just at the bad end of that.

I was thinking exactly the same earlier and posted question here http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic67347-75.html
It seems for those far more knowledgable than I that its about 0.6 litres/ hour. I recon that's a lo better than running the engine!! D3 HSE 06 with all the bells and whistles
