I have a problem with the FBH in my MY16 D4 and I wonder if it is affecting other MY16's, particular in view of the 3 degC temperature issue. All the best engineers are busy with the D5 so anything is possible.
My problem is that when the FBH is used as a parking heater it stops prematurely, rarely does it run for more than 15-18 minutes and the end temperature is never above 60 degC and mostly lower.
It throws a fault code U3000 as seen by the IID tool and hex 84 as seen by my Bellautos FBHIC (or WTT software) and both are "low voltage". I think U3000 can be seen in various ecu's, in this case the IID tool is reading it from the Auxiliary Heater module. The problem and fault occur if the FBH is being run by the inbuilt Timer or by a T91.
I noticed this issue when winter arrived but thought that it might be somehow due to the 3 degC nonsense but it remains now that that is supposedly fixed.
It has been suggested that I try running the FBH whilst the car is connected to a battery charger, good idea but impractical for me at the moment.
So, does anyone with a late model D4 have this issue or is it just my car? Maybe others have the problem but have not realised?Volvo XC60 - does all that the D4 should have done

I think the D4 with park heat only runs the FBH for about 17 minutes anyway, to preserve battery drain. There was some posts on this about 3 years ago.
Mine (2013 my) runs for 20 minutes or there abouts, and it heats the car enough to defrost the windows, and take the chill off the interior. Its by no means 'hot' when I get in. The engine is still definitely cold when its started.
There was a modification that came in around 2013 which reduced the run time and included an island valve to concentrate the heating of just the water in the heater circuit.

There was a subsequent refinement in 2013 to push the times back up again following complaints. As mine was a factory fit (so has the island valve) the extra time makes the interior quite warm and clears all external ice with ease.
David - I'm still not sure of your exact voltages at time of failure, or your result when the car is connected to external power or jump leads. As a result I can only presume that your battery is at a low state of charge and that the FBH is totally fine.

You may be right and I need to test it with battery charger attached.
In the meantime I've had a closer look and I don't think my car has the diverter valve fitted. Previous photos show an assembly bolted to the FBH bracket and sitting between the FBH and the battery box. Mine has nothing attached there so unless they have re-sited it, I don't have the diverter.Volvo XC60 - does all that the D4 should have done
